After-hours buzz: Salesforce.com, Urban Outfitters


Check out which companies are making headlines after the bell Monday:

Salesforce.com - The provider of online customer relationship management services tallied adjusted profit of 9 cents a share on revenue of $1.08 billion, surpassing estimates calling for earnings of 9 cents a share on revenue of $1.055 billion.

Urban Outfitters - The clothing retailer posted third-quarter earnings of 47 cents a share on revenue of $774 million, beating estimates for earnings of 45 cents on revenue of $771 million. Its shares rose in extended-hours trading.

Sprouts Farmers Markets - Shares of the company fell more than 1 percent in after-hours trading after the organic-food distributor announced a $225 million share offering.

J.C. Penney - Shares of the troubled retailer edged lower in after-hours trade, extending losses ahead of its third-quarter earnings results before the market opens on Wednesday.

Brocade Communications Systems rose after it reported earnings of 24 cents excluding items on $559 million in revenue, surpassing estimates of 18 cents on earnings of $554 million.
