HP's $18 million woman: Whitman earned big pay in 2013
Meg Whitman made quite a bit more than her token base pay of a dollar last year. Hewlett-Packard's CEO earned $17.6 million in cash and stock options, according to Re/code.
Citing a Securities and Exchange Commission proxy filing, the tech website reported Monday that most of the compensation was in stock options worth $12.7 million, including $4.4 million in bonuses and stock awards. This year, HPQ's chief is expected to earn a base of $1.5 million, Re/code reported.
