To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Queen Mary 2, Cunard Line talked Capt. Kevin Oprey into posing for a picture on the vessel's underwater bow, The Los Angeles Times reported.

The captain posed on the bulbous bow, which juts out in front of the prow normally just under the waterline to minimize waves. The ship was about a mile off the coast of Bali for the day.

"What I wanted to achieve was to create the difference between the man that controls it and the actual structure," photographer James D. Morgan said in a statement to the paper.

The QM2 is the fastest, longest, tallest and widest passenger ship in operation, according to Cunard, which is owned by Carnival, the largest cruise company in the world.
