CNBC Announces Two Key Appointments To Its International Team

LONDON and SINGAPORE, 2 April 2014 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, has announced two key appointments to its international leadership team.

Finola McDonnell joins as Vice President of International Marketing, Communications and PR. McDonnell will have responsibility for marketing and external affairs across EMEA and Asia Pacific. She will develop and manage strategic marketing campaigns and communications to further build the CNBC brand across international territories.

McDonnell joins from BUSINESSEUROPE where she was responsible for enhancing the reputation, brand and media positioning of this pan-European lobbying group, which represents the interests of business in 35 countries. She was previously Managing Director of Property Industry Ireland, where she led the establishment of this representative body. She has also worked for IBEC, Ireland's largest business lobby group, where she was Head of Public Affairs and Senior Communications Manager.

Kate Henwood joins as Vice President of Human Resources. Henwood will be responsible for CNBC's people and training agenda across international territories, managing employee relations, talent acquisition, employee engagement and organisational design. She will also work closely with HR colleagues at CNBC's global headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, as well as the NBCUniversal International HR team.

Henwood joins from BP where she was a global HR business partner, providing strategic and operational support across the business. Prior to that she spent eight years with RBS in a variety of HR roles and business units, where she developed learning and talent strategies for their corporate banking unit and the people strategy for their retail banking operations.

Both McDonnell and Henwood will be based in London and will join CNBC's international leadership team. Both will report to KC Sullivan, President and Managing Director of CNBC International who commented, "These appointments bring all parts of our business under an international structure, enabling us to operate effectively across our global network. I look forward to working with both Finola and Kate to help us grow our people and our business around the world."
