Today's male is growing more comfortable with making his own style choices—a trend that is no longer limited to his clothing.
According to a report in Women's Wear Daily, men are playing a bigger role in choosing fashionable underwear, which helped the category's sales grow 4 percent in the year ended February, according to data from The NPD Group/Consumer Tracking Service.
The biggest increases came from boxer briefs, which saw sales increase 17 percent.
"Even conservative guys have upgraded their underwear selections with fashion looks," The NPD Group's Marshal Cohen told the publication.
