Belkin WeMo is a family of products that include switches and motion detectors for users to wirelessly control their home appliances and lights from anywhere through a mobile app.
The item, priced at $60 to $130 depending on the gadget, can be used to easily automate a lamp or a coffee pot, said Andrea Smith, technology editor at Living in Digital Times.
The Kwikset Kevo, a Bluetooth-enabled deadbolt, reads an eKey code stored in the mobile app downloaded onto a user's iOS device to unlock a door with the touch of a finger. "The Kevo is kind of big and clunky but it fits right where your existing lock is," said Smith.
