Crowdsharing comes to driveways of San Francisco

Source: SpotOn Parking

Parking in San Francisco can be nearly impossible, even if you're willing to pay.

A new driveway sharing app, SpotOn Parking, aims to increase the supply by allowing San Francisco homeowners and businesses to rent out their driveways, garages and parking lots when not in use, according to a San Francisco Chronicle article in Skift.

Prices range from a typical $2.50 to $3.50 per hour, up to a monthly all-you-can-park option that ranges from $150 in the Mission District to $400 in North Beach, "SpotOn has yet to deal with San Francisco's permit regulations or 25 percent parking tax," the Chronicle notes.
