Cubic - The provider of solutions to mass transit and defense markets reported second-quarter earnings per share of 40 cents on $354.5 million in sales, beating consensus estimates. Its shares rose in after-hours trade.
DirecTV - Shares rose in after-hours trade after Dow Jones cited sources in reporting AT&T could strike a deal for the provider of digital television services as soon as in two weeks. Shares of AT&T also advanced in extended-hours trading.
Elizabeth Arden - The cosmetics company tallied a third-quarter earnings per share loss of 84 cents on sales of $210.8 million, compared to expectations of an EPS of zero on $257 million in revenue. The company said it had engaged Goldman Sachs to explore its strategic alternatives. Shares fell sharply in after-hours trade.
