Cramer’s 'miraculous' production growth companies

(Click for video linked to a searchable transcript of this Mad Money segment)

This is one of Jim Cramer's favorite long-term themes. And he's convinced the opportunity is enduring.

"I know I keep going back to the renaissance in North American energy production," Cramer said. "But that's because I'm amazed by developments."

They're even better than Cramer expected, and he's been pretty bullish. Looking at recent quarterly reports, the "Mad Money" host noted the relative increase in domestic production growth could only be described as "miraculous."

That is, "The Eagle Ford and Permian in Texas, the Bakken in North Dakota, the Utica in Ohio, the Marcellus in Pennsylvania and the Niobrara in Colorado are proving far more bountiful than we thought even two years ago," Cramer said.

And a slew of companies are benefiting; with Cimarex, EOG, Pioneer, Anadarko, Continental Resources and Carrizo holding some the best real estate in the energy rich areas, listed above.

"Many of these oil companies are producing staggering rates of year over year production growth, 20, 30 even 40 percent increases, particularly those in the Permian and Eagle Ford," Cramer added.

Cramer finds the growth so impressive, he thinks these energy stocks could rival the 'software-as-a-service' stocks, that investors so often associate with growth.

And he says, the energy stocks present a significant advantage over their tech sector counterparts.

The energy names are generating profits and can be valued on earnings, while most high multiple 'software-as-a-service' growth names do not generate profits. They are typically valued on revenue and sales only. And lately they've been shunned by the Street.

Therefore, Cramer says, if you're an investor seeking growth, you may be well served to turn your attention to the oil patch.

In the stocks of companies that benefit from the renaissance in North American energy production, "you are getting growth at a reasonable price," Cramer said. "In fact, I believe it's the fastest growth at the most reasonable price that you will find in the market today."

And of all the possible plays, Cramer says, "Right now my favorites in the group are EOG Resources and Anadarko Petroleum."
