Jeremy Meeksthe "dreamy" convict who became a viral sensation after his mug shot was posted to the Stockton, California, police department's Facebook page last weekhas a mom who is radically changing the way mothers prove their affection.

Katherine Angier, seeking to capitalize on the popularity of her son's mugshot on the Stockton Police Department's website, has turned to crowdfunding in hopes of bankrolling for his defense through a post on GoFundMe.

Meeks, 30, faces 11 new felony charges, including possessing a firearm, being in a gang, and violating parole, according to NBC Bay Area. He has already been convicted as a felon, having served two years in prison on a past grand theft charge.

Angier blames Meeks' latest misfortune on stereotypes stemming from his tattoos, and claims that he has no gang affiliations.

Her campaign has raised about $4,000 so far.
