GM announced six new recalls on June 30, affecting 8.4 million vehicles from 1997-2014.

GM also said it would take a charge of up to $1.2 billion in the second quarter for recall-related repairs.

The cars were recalled for a variety of reasons and span a broad range of makes and models, some of which are seen here. (A full list is here.)
