Where are the world's best restaurants?

From "Snail Porridge" to a "Spherical Egg of White Asparagus with False Truffle", eating out has become a culinary adventure, with restaurants around the world trying out new, exciting - and sometimes bewildering - dishes.

According to market research group Companies and Markets, the booming global restaurant industry is predicted to expand further, hitting $3.5 trillion in revenue by the end of 2016.

Many of the world's cities claim to have the best restaurants – be it the U.K., home to chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, or America, with its thriving foodie scenes on the east and west coasts.

Where do you think is the best for going out and eating great food?
