Exclusive Interview to Premiere on 27 August and Air Globally on CNBC

LONDON, 7 August 2014 - In the next episode of CNBC Meets, presenter Tania Bryer is granted unprecedented access with His Royal Highness The Duke of York.

The 30 minute interview will premiere in the UK and across Europe on 27th August 2014 at 10.00pm BST and excerpts will be available online at www.cnbcmeets.cnbc.com. The programme will also air on CNBC networks in the United States and Asia Pacific.

In an in-depth personal interview, The Duke of York invites Tania into Buckingham Palace where he reminisces about his childhood and reveals what it is like to be a part of one of the world's most iconic families. His Royal Highness looks back at his 22 years in the Royal Navy and recounts his time during the Falklands conflict. He reveals to Tania why he took on the role as the United Kingdom's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment and answers his critics as to why he stepped down from the position.

His Royal Highness invites Tania to see first-hand the work he does to help develop the youth of today. He shows her around the inspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA) scheme at Hackney Community College in East London, which he started with the Nominet Trust to encourage and support young people to develop skills for digital enterprise.

In the interview HRH The Duke of York stresses the importance of developing young people's skills, "What we've got to get right is getting our young people the right skills. It's about getting them the right education; it's about giving them the right educational culture; it's about giving them enterprise culture."

The Duke of York also discusses his work supporting numerous charitable projects and his public duties as a working member of the Royal Family.

Tania speaks with Peter Jones CBE, about The Duke of York's passion to give back and sees how he opens up the doors to Buckingham Palace to host the Peter Jones Foundation, Tycoons in School Awards to which His Royal Highness is a patron.
