Walgreen pharmacies are back online after earlier reporting that more than half of the stores were unable to fill prescriptions due to a database failure, Dow Jones said on Friday.

The company had expected to resolve the issue this afternoon, the spokesman said. Earlier on Friday, the database failure caused by a system update had affected all 8,200 Walgreen pharmacies.

Shares moved little following the news, keeping the stock price near $61.05.
