This Mediterranean-style palace may seem like you're a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life. But, this ultra-private estate is only a mere 10 miles away from the Big Apple in Englewood, New Jersey.

Originally built by European royalty, this house has hosted the likes of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Paris Hilton. It also boasts another sort of guest: imported South African cranes that live in its backyard bird sanctuary.

This 24,000-square-foot estate is listed at $25 million, and it includes eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and an elevator that goes to all four floors. And if that's not enough, there is a custom-made grotto, a movie theater designed from the Vanderbilt theater molds and an infinity pool.

Want to throw a party? There's a bar that was built during the Prohibition era by the Kennedy family. It even had a secret entrance!

The house and property were the setting for Woody Allen's film "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion."
