Icelandic volcano gushes lava, threatens to erupt

The Bardarbunga volcano in Iceland sent torrents of lava—up to 200-feet high—into the air on Tuesday as risk of eruption continues to mount, industry experts said.

The alert warning code for the surrounding area was lowered to orange, indicating the potential for an explosive eruption, from red on Sunday.
