Musician Will.i.am launches his smartwatch this week

After the original July launch date was postponed, Will.i.am's smartwatch is confirmed to debut on Wednesday at Salesforce.com's Dreamforce event in San Francisco, reports Engadget.

The watch's creator claims the gadget is able to make and receive calls without being connected to a phone. The Telegraph claims the watch has a curved screen and can store music locally. The watch also includes Bluetooth, WiFi, and Facebook, Instagram and Twitter apps.

The musician is collaborating with British music and streaming specialist 7digital to deliver the music service on the watch. The musician and the firm has supposedly promised equal treatment for all music labels, reports Engadget.
