American International Group - The insurer posted adjusted quarterly earnings per share of $1.21 on $8.63 billion in revenue, compared with expectations for EPS of $1.09 on sales of $8.57 billion. Its shares rose in extended hours.
Herbalife - The maker of nutritional supplements reported earnings per share of $1.45, excluding items, on $1.26 billion in revenue, compared with expectations for EPS of $1.51 on sales of $1.32 billion. It also agreed to pay $15 million to settle a lawsuit by a former distributor of its products who claimed Herbalife was a "pyramid scheme" that prevented him from turning a profit. The settlement does not admit any wrongdoing or liability. Its shares fell in after-hours trading.
LeapFrog Enterprises - The developer of technology-based learning products for children fell sharply in after-hours trading after tallying quarterly results.
RetailMeNot - The online operator of a coupon site declined sharply in after-hours trading after issuing weak revenue guidance and saying its CFO was stepping down at the end of the month.
Sprint - The wireless carrier reported it had a per-share loss of 19 cents on $8.49 billion in revenue, compared with estimates calling for a loss of 6 cents per share on $8.59 billion in sales. It also said it was cutting 2,000 jobs. Its shares dropped in after-hours trading.
