U.S. travel to Cuba may be more expensive than many might expect.
While celebrities may get a bargain for a five-star hotel where a single costs $306 a night, the New York Post found that a night at the historic and aging Hotel Nacional de Cuba costs $177 for a single and $267 for a double.
A taxi ride from Havana to the nearest beach costs $17, while Fidel Castro's favorite cigar is $18, the newspaper said. The $3 rum was the only cheap item.
