Overtime bonanza: NY area cops make $300,000 each?

Overtime abuse at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has run so rampant that 13 cops could end up earning around $300,000 or more each this year, the Bergen Record reported.

Some 131 Port Authority employees earned enough overtime in the first nine months of the year to double their annual salaries, the paper said.

One cop recorded an average of 100 hours a week of work, the paper said, while the top 10 OT earners averaged 46 extra hours per week.
