Berkshire Hathaway – Berkshire is a stock to watch Monday, following the release of Warren Buffett's annual investment letter and the company's latest earnings. Those numbers did fall short of estimates, and Buffett said it was likely that although Berkshire would outperform other companies in the future, its size may make it impossible to equal past gains.

E-Trade Financial – The online brokerage announced a senior note offering as part of a plan to reduce its corporate debt by $340 million.

Cardinal Health – The drug distributor is buying Johnson & Johnson's Cordis medical products unit for $1.944 billion in cash.

PacWest – The bank is buying Square 1 Financial for $849 million in stock. Square 1 shareholders will receive about 0.6 shares of PacWest common stock for each share they now own.

Wynn Resorts – The casino operator is seeking to block Elaine Wynn, the ex-wife of company chairman Steve Wynn, from its board of directors. An SEC filing said Elaine Wynn will not be re-nominated when her term expires.

Boston Scientific – The company is buying the urology portfolio of American Medical Systems, owned by Endo International, for $1.6 billion in cash up front, and a potential additional $50 million in milestone payments based on 2016 sales.

Gannett – The company has released corporate governance rules for the planned spinoff of its publishing company later this year. As part of the announcement, Gannett also said investor Carl Icahn has agreed to standstill provisions, and has withdrawn previously submitted director nominations in connection with Gannett's 2015 annual meeting.

Freescale Semiconductor – Freescale is being bought by rival chip maker NXP Semiconductors for about $11.8 billion in cash and stock. Freescale stockholders will receive $6.25 per share in cash and 0.3521 NXP shares for each share they now hold.

Herbalife – Herbalife cut Chief Executive Officer Michael Johnson's pay 36 percent last year, after the company failed to achieve certain goals. Johnson made $6.73 million last year compared to $10.5 million in 2013.

Apple - Apple will be on watch Monday as rival Samsung unveils its latest line of Galaxy smartphones. Among the new features, the phones will feature a mobile payment system similar to Apple's "Apple Pay."

GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis – The two drug makers completed more than $20 billion in asset swaps that were originally announced last April. GSK is buying the Novartis vaccines business, with Novartis receiving the GSK cancer drug portfolio. The two are also forming a joint venture focusing on consumer health.

Lumber Liquidators – The company is pushing back against a "60 Minutes" report which said it sold flooring with higher levels of formaldehyde than permitted under California law. The company said it complies with all laws regarding its products, and said it would "vigorously challenge any false allegations."

Nokia - CEO Rajiv Suri said he saw nothing in the company's business that would change its financial outlook, and reiterated prior comments that Nokia will benefit from the stronger dollar. Suri made his comments to reporters at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona.
