An Irish court just accidentally legalized drugs including ecstasy, ketamine and "magic" mushrooms, The Independent newspaper reports.

This happened after the Irish Court of Appeal on Tuesday found the 1977 Misuse of Drugs Act was unconstitutional, the report said.

Ireland's Health Minister Leo Varadkar told the newspaper that lawmakers in the Dail would meet Tuesday night to pass emergency legislation to counteract the ruling. It's hoped the legislation would be approved within 24 hours, according to the report.

The court's ruling not only legalizes Class A drugs until the lower chamber acts but also raises questions about past convictions , the newspaper said.
