Shares of Apple declined slightly during extended trading after allegedly infringing on six of chipmaker Qualcomm's patents that improve battery life. Qualcomm, whose shares rose slightly during extended trading, is asking U.S. trade regulators to ban iPhone imports.

Class A shares of DISH rose more than 2 percent during extended trading. Earlier Thursday, The Wall Street Journal reported that the broadcast satellite provider discussed a wireless business partnership with Amazon.

Shares of Campbell Soup ticked up nearly 2 percent in extended trading after the food producer announced an agreement to acquire Pacific Foods of Oregon for $700 million.

Mondelez shares declined 2 percent after hours following the company's announcement that a recent cyber attack would shave 3 percent off the food producer's revenue growth for the second quarter.
