BRUSSELS, April 22- Infineon Technologies, Philips and several other chipmakers could face fines after European competition regulators said they may have colluded to fix prices for chips used in mobile SIM cards, passports and bank cards.

BRUSSELS, April 22- German chipmaker Infineon Technologies and several of its peers could be penalised after EU regulators said the companies may have taken part in a cartel to keep prices high. Infineon confirmed that it had received the statement of objections.
