  • PPL meets 4Q profit forecasts Thursday, 4 Feb 2016 | 7:35 AM ET

    ALLENTOWN, Pa. _ PPL Corp. on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $399 million. On a per-share basis, the Allentown, Pennsylvania- based company said it had net income of 59 cents. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 43 cents per share.

  • The court did not act on related petitions concerning a similar program in New Jersey, meaning that case will likely be held for the ruling in the Maryland case. The Maryland and New Jersey programs were challenged by power company PPL Corp and other generators. New Jersey and Maryland appealed those rulings to the Supreme Court.
