CNBC.com ranks the 10 richest people who have sought the U.S. presidency since 1992. Some of the people who made the list might surprise you, but what’s more surprising is who didn’t make it. Click ahead to see the 10 richest people who ran for president in the last 20 years.

Several times a year, the Council for Community and Economic Research gathers data from 309 urban areas to rank them in their Cost of Living Index (COLI). The team looks at pricing data covering 60 consumer goods and services that represent a larger cluster of goods and services. Here, a countdown of the top 10 least-expensive cities, as culled from the latest available version of the COLI from the third quarter of 2011.
