(Reuters) - Analysts said Hewlett Packard Co's plan to cut jobs was a step in the right direction but the PC maker will have to do more to regain investors' confidence.
Shares of Hewlett-Packard Co. jumped nearly 10 percent before Thursday's opening bell, after the company said it will eliminate 27,000 jobs as part of a plan to turn itself around and announced better-than-expected quarterly results.
