Ford Motors posted a surprise $1 billion quarterly profit on Monday and raised its 2011 outlook to "solidly profitable." Toyota and Nissan are also expected to report earnings this week in addition to auto sales data due Tuesday. And yes, it is surprising when analysts are expecting a company to lose 12 cents a share, and it earns 26 cents/share.
