Things have changed since I filed the post yesterday on the Tanker War Blog created by supporters of Boeing's challenge to Northrop Grumman -EADS winning the tanker deal! The web site's poll on whether Congress should nix the current deal has changed leads. Boeing fans have charged ahead.    Read More

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is trying to get Starbucks focused on coffee--which means the entertainment business it's been building up over the past four years is now due to be pared down. Late Wednesday Starbucks unveiled weaker-than-expected estimates for its fiscal second quarter and year -- sending Starbucks shares down a whopping ten percent Thursday.    Read More

I, Fake Jane, couldn't watch all of "Idol Gives Back" last night. It's all very worthy, but a self-absorbed, bitter woman like myself can only fabricate sympathy for so long.
