Moody's Investors Service said Monday it is hiking its credit ratings for Advanced Micro Devices Inc. after the chip maker won a $1.25 billion settlement in its antitrust dispute with rival Intel Corp.
Intel, the world’s largest chip maker, has for years used large rebates and co-marketing arrangements to talk Dell and other manufacturers into sticking with its products rather than increasing their business with A.M.D., according to a lawsuit filed by the New York attorney general's office.
