        Liberty Global agreed to buy Unitymedia for $3 billion Friday, in an attempt to expand its European footprint. "It's a great deal for Unity, our customers and our employees, because it really heralds an exciting new phase of our development," Unitymedia CEO Parm Sandhu said.

    • 2012 Games Won't Benefit London Economically 

        The 2012 Olympics will not benefit London economically, according to Prof. Stefan Szymanski from Cass Business School. "There is certainly economic activity associated with it and this is all being funded by the UK taxpayer. But it is not commercially viable economic activity because otherwise we wouldn't have to have large-scale government guarantees in order to make it viable," he said.
