Global Players is shot on location around the world and airs on CNBC in EMEA, CNBC in the U.S. and CNBC in the Asia Pacific region.

Sabine Christiansen launched her career in 1983 as a producer and later became the anchor of the nightly news magazine Tagesthemen on ARD.

From 1998 until 2007, she produced her own primetime show SABINE CHRISTIANSEN for ARD which became the best-known and highest-rated political debate programme on German television.

Christiansen has interviewed the world's most notable politicians and business leaders, including George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Bill Gates, Kofi Annan, Angela Merkel, Wladimir Putin, Michael Gorbatschev, Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela.

She has received numerous journalism awards, from the Grimme Award and the Bambi to Germany's Golden Camera. In 2005, she received the World Media Award. In addition, Christiansen is Germany's national UNICEF ambassador and has her own children's foundation.
