ARNOLD GAY

Arnold Gay is a CNBC correspondent with over 14 years of experience in the media and broadcast industry. Based in Singapore, Arnold will provide market reports into CNBC’s signature programme Squawk Box, CNBC’s Cash Flow and Capital Connection.

Arnold has had prolific general and business news reporting experience. He has been the anchor of Mediacorp’s Asian Market Report, and Newsday, as well as the One Hour News on Channel News Asia. He was last seen as the anchor of Mediaworks’ Eye on the News, as well as the co-anchor of the award-winning Channel i news, which took home the Best General News Programme at the 2003 Asian Television Awards. Arnold was also a finalist for Best News Anchor in the 2004 Asian Television Awards, where he was highly commended.

Arnold started his career in 1992 as a Music Director and Deejay on local radio. He made the move to TV shortly after, with Rupert Murdoch's music video and entertainment channel, Channel [V] in Hong Kong, before switching to news and current affairs in 1998.
