Ladbrokes Profit Declines, Cuts Dividend

UK bookmaker Ladbrokes reported a decline in first-half pretax profit Thursday and cut its dividend as it warned trading had worsened since May. "We've been putting a lot of things in place in the first half. There's no doubt that it's tough out there and even the betting business is suffering a little," CEO Chris Bell said.
