The government is considering a banking regulation bill, but “regulation tends to make problems worse rather than better,” Roger Nightingale from Pointon York told CNBC Wednesday. “Go and pull the plug. Pull the plug on RBS, pull the plug on HBOS, then you won’t have any bonus problems,” he added. Simon Derrick from BNY Mellon joined the conversation.
