UK lender Standard Chartered saw strong third-quarter earnings, thanks to the solid performance of its wholesale banking business. "It's the result of a very consistent strategy in our wholesale bank," Jaspal Bindra, Asia CEO of Standard Chartered, told CNBC's Christine Tan. "We are very well poised to sustain strong growth" in Asia in the long term, he added.
