Sixty-five percent of the global population think an international deal to cut greenhouse gas emissions is very important, according to HSBC's annual climate confidence monitor. Nick Robins from HSBC told CNBC "7/10 people across the world believe that tackling climate change is as important as dealing with the economic downturn."
