"There weren't that many surprises" in the Barclays results Tuesday, "other than the softness in the retail banking area," Ralph Silva from TowerGroup said. Retail banking customers are gravitating towards the 3 UK banks that didn't get any government funds and it's concerning Barclays didn't do well in that area, he added.
