CNBC Europe - licence requirements and how to receive us
To receive CNBC Europe in any commercial environment requires a viewing licence, which can only be purchased directly via ourselves (i.e. we are not part of any "business package" a cable or satellite operator may offer).
Satellite:
All commercial premises will need to have satellite receiver equipment installed in order to receive CNBC Europe. If you already have this in place correctly positioned to receive CNBC Europe (our B2B team or any independent installation company could advise on this), we would simply offer you a viewing licence for your commercial premises, and for UK viewers, a decoder card as the signal is encrypted.
Cable:
In the UK, no cable operator has the rights to deliver CNBC Europe to any commercial premises.
In Europe, it may be more convenient to receive CNBC Europe via your local cable operator, who will charge a small technical delivery charge. However, a viewing licence must still be purchased directly via ourselves.
Again our B2B team would be happy to advise on local operators who carry CNBC Europe.
Broadband:
If you don’t have satellite receiver capabilities, we’d be happy to offer you our live 24 hour CNBC Broadband service. This is delivered over the internet password protected, direct to your desktop.
(NB: This service requires an internet connection of ADSL or faster, Windows Media Player 7.1 or above, and Windows 95, 98, 2000 or XP operating system)
This is becoming an increasingly popular method of receiving our channel as broadband penetration steadily grows throughout Europe. It is particularly relevant for those areas in Europe that can only otherwise receive the channel part-time, i.e. between 6am – midday, giving them the opportunity to receive 24hours per day, and to enable them to tune into our live US market coverage, and European Market Closing Bell.
