Yahoo Surprise!

Just a few weeks ago Yahoo COO Dan Rosensweig had no idea that he was getting the boot-- at a breakfast at the Four Seasons in NYC he was talking about big news in store for the company. And while he acknowledged that in the post-Google-YouTube acquisition world that Yahoo was looking around for some acquisition targets, he was upbeat about 2007 being a good year for the company. He even said that there were some big changes in store that he was eventually interested in chatting about with me on the record. He certainly had no inkling that those big changes would end with him on the curb! I wonder what this means for Vince Broady-- head of Yahoo's Games, Entertainment & Youth-- clearly hot areas. Will Yahoo develop/buy a social networking site and lump it together under his watch?
