Eugene Peroni is Senior Managing Director of Equity Research at Claymore Advisors. He appeared on "Squawk on the Street." Peroni says that investors have a brief and shallow window of opportunity for gains in the year ahead. But he also said the current rally is the broadest he's seen in 30 years.

Peroni says that most rallies in the past have been cyclical--but this one is different. Some of Peroni's favorite sectors include energy, health care, financials and IT. He went on to say that while the market may be a bit "overbought," it has very few flaws.

Year-End Trading
The market will offer only brief and shallow windows for gains, according to Eugene Peroni, Claymore Advisors Sr. Managing Director of Equity Research. He tells CNBC's Erin Burnett his top sectors are infrastructure, energy, financial services, healthcare, info. tech., materials, manufacturing and steel.
