Preview: SunTrust Expected to Earn $1.46 a Share

SunTrust is expected to post fourth quarter earnings of $1.46 a share, according to a Thomson Financial consensus estimate, up from $1.43 in the fourth quarter of 2005.

The Atlanta-based bank, with $183 billion in assets, is expected to report earnings before the market opens on Jan. 19. It will host a conference call and webcast at 8:00 am New York time.
