Merck Suspends Campaign to Make Gardasil Vaccination Mandatory: WSJ

Merck plans to suspend its lobbying campaign to make its vaccination Gardasil mandatory, according to The Wall Street Journal's website.

Gardasil protects against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer.

The drugmaker will continue its education program about the vaccine and cervical cancer, The Wall Street Journal said late Tuesday.
