Gordon Gekko Games Farmer Joe as Crucial Crop Report is Released Tomorrow?

They both get up at the crack of dawn but what else do farmers and hedge fund managers have in common? Well, they'll both be closely watching the USDA crop report tomorrow, which will tell how many acres of corn and soybeans farmers expect to plant this season. Corn prices have soared 77% in the last year as demand for ethanol surges. And the gain has rippled through the economy from what you pay at the pump and the grocery store. What's the trade as this high-stakes showdown in the corn belt plays out?

Eric Bolling brings investors the Fast Money “Ag” play. These are four companies Eric believes will do well in the agricultural space. They are Monsanto (MON) for seed, Agrium (AGU) for fertilizer, John Deere (DE) for tractors and Bunge (BG) for food.

Eric adds that this is a great time to get involved in the agricultural space and if investors don’t like his Fast Money “Ag” play, they should consider PowerShares DB Agriculture Fund (DBA) which is an investment he’s recommended on past show.

Guy Adami says it doesn’t matter what they plant they have to fertilize it and he likes Potash Corp. (POT), an integrated fertilizer company.

Jeff Macke says the economy doesn’t get much better than this in the Mid-West and he recommends buying Deere.
