CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European financial and business news tv channel is launching a live video streaming service to mobile handsets in 17 European countries. CNBC Europe believes that this is the first time that a whole channel has been streamed continuously to a mobile device. The service further demonstrates CNBC Europe’ s commitment to developing its programming for a multi-platform environment. Subscribers will be able to view 'live' 24/7 broadcasts of the CNBC service, on mobile handsets throughout Europe.
The service, provided by Newmediacom, part of the Phones International Group, will benefit customers and business users who will be able to access industry and financial news and information in real-time, wherever they are. The service can be accessed from a range of mobile devices including the Nokia 3650, 3660, 6600, 7650, N-Gage, the Sony Ericsson P800, P900 and many new handsets soon to be launched including the Sony Ericsson P910. Users can register online and pay using their credit or debit cards for a month’s access.
