CNBC Europe Appoints New Web Video Publisher and Assistant Producer

London, 28 July 2006 - CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European business and financial TV channel, has announced two appointments to the News and Programming team.

Nicola Cappin has been appointed to a newly created position of Web Video Publisher. In this role, Nicola will be responsible for the production and updating of video content. She will evaluate top business news stories of the day, interviews and events that air on CNBC Europe and repurpose them for the web, mobile devices and B2B customers.

Nicola joins us from Investment Week where she was a Reporter. Prior to this role Nicola worked for the Independent on Sunday as a placements Reporter and the Jewish Chronicle as a Freelance Writer.

Hima Dorrabayi has been appointed Assistant Producer, working on Today’s Business, CNBC Europe’s early morning programme (0600-0700 CET). Hima will cover research, writing scripts, co-ordinating information for guests and market reporters and news flashes. She brings to CNBC Europe extensive experience from Club Asia Radio, Mashrek TV, Channel East, Independent Short Films and All India Radio, where she held various roles including Features Producer, Programme Consultant, Assistant Producer and Production Assistant.

Both Nicola and Hima will report to Niaz Samadizadeh, Executive Producer.
