You may not know much about the world’s second richest man but you know the companies Warren Buffett owns; Fruit of the Loom, Geico, Dairy Queen. "The Billionaire Next Door" shows the audience a side of Buffett that’s rarely seen. He’s funny, self-deprecating, independent and humble.
CNBC anchor, Liz Claman spent 8 hours with the country’s most famous and successful investor in Omaha, Nebraska where he gave a tour of his hometown. The billionaire investor drove Claman around – no chauffeur, no one from marketing or public relations and he was unencumbered by a security team.
The cameras capture the $41 billion man totally at ease on the streets of Omaha. He lived in Washington DC for a time and then New York but he moved back to the heartland of America. In front of the location where his grandfather’s store used to exist, Buffett tells Claman about turning his first profit selling coca cola and chewing gum and about buying his first property, a farm when he was just 14.
"The Billionaire Next Door" captures the way Buffett manages, does business and lives his life.
