WHAT'S NEXT FOR NYSE-EURONEXT?

The headline: A Viewer Asks For The Traders' Thoughts On NYSE-Euronext (NYX)

Steve from PA writes “I have been watching the exchange sector get some love lately, with NYSE Euronext (NYX) being left behind. A few weeks ago, the consensus was that this was one of the Fast Money Five’s favorites. What gives?”

Eric Bolling says he prefers the derivative exchanges not the NYX. Tim Strazzini likes the International Securities Exchange (ISE). Guy Adami tells investors as long as John Thain runs the NYSE, stay with the stock.

The word: Tim Strazzini says the “tell” for this company will be forward guidance. He’s reminds the panel that he’s liked this stock as a long term investment since July ’06.

BARRON'S BEST:

The headline: Goldman Sachs (GS) , Apple (AAPL) Claim Spots In Top 20 Of Barron's 500

The word: Guy Adami likes GS and believes it’s heading to $260. (On Monday 5/14, GS closed at $226.18)

THE JAVA JOLT:

The headline: Starbucks (SBUX) Shares Fall Through Key Technical Barrier

The word: Jeff Macke says the company is trading at 27 times next year’s earnings. That’s too high. McDonald’s (MCD) he says trades at 15 times next year’s earnings. Own that instead.

HARD ROCK TRADE:

The headline: Morgans Hotel Group, (MHGC) Owner Of Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, Surging Since Bolling's Recommendation In March

The word: Eric Bolling says the stock is up 35% this month. If investors bought this stock on Eric's recommendation, he says take profit and buy shares again on a dip. Tim Strazzini likes Starwood (HOT) in the hotel space and thinks Hilton Hotels (HLT) is a great value play.

The headline: Brian Williams Devotes An Entire Half Hour To The Role Of Technology in Our Lives in 2017.

The word: Jeff Macke says this isn’t a trade that will happen tomorrow, but companies will make huge gains in productivity eventually.
