AT&T Reportedly Acquiring Dobson Communications

AT&T has agreed to purchase wireless carrier Dobson Communications, a source familiar with the situation said on Friday.

The deal was reported earlier by the Wall Street Journal, which said on its Web site that it was valued between $2.5 billion and $3 billion.

AT&T was not immediately available for comment. A representative for Dobson said he had no comment.
