Mauresmo Puts Dent In Wimbledon

The organizers of Wimbledon are not too fond of Amelie Mauresmo. Her whipping of Mara Santangelo on Saturday cost them $1 million. It was a brutal day of rain on Saturday and the folks on Centre Court only got to see the Mauresmo-Santangelo match. Luckily for them, Mauresmo won in 57 minutes and the rain policy is that they get a full refund if they don't see a full hour of tennis. Court One spectators saw a little bit more tennis and can get half of their money back.

Brian Bateman won the Buick Classic on Sunday wearing a Miami Dolphins polo. It isn't the first time a player has won wearing NFL apparel. Ben Curtis won the Booz Allen Classic last year wearing a Washington Redskins outfit and the 84 Lumber Classic in Sept. 2006 wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers outfit.
